Part II (of II) of Phil Blake’s incredible adventure of diving the shipwrecks of Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon, all sunk in 1944 in Operation Hailstone; thus 68 years underwater. These wrecks – including a submarine and Betty Bomber – each carry their own remarkable story, and within their holds and engine rooms the remarkable collection of the tools of War: Zero fighter aircraft, battle tanks, vehicles, trucks, and munitions & ordinance of every kind … as well as the remains of the sailors who died aboard in unimaginable circumstances.
Blake’s adventure took place with Capt JJ and Kim, as well as the awesome crew of m/v Odyssey. All video was shot with a GoPro Hero II; unfortunately with a flat lens housing that suffered a blurry spot dead centre screen.
